Students learn to identify and analyse social concerns and problems, develop positions on social issues, and propose possible interventions. The Arts component provides skills in written communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal understanding. It offers a choice of subject areas in the humanities and social sciences. The Social Science component provides expertise to develop strategies and help find solutions to social issues in the local, national and international arenas. Graduates have key skills such as problem-solving, effective written and oral communication, information processing, creative and critical thinking, cross-cultural awareness, social research skills, and computer literacy.
