The Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice has been designed to produce work-ready graduates for a range of interesting and challenging opportunities in the justice sector. Compulsory units in law, criminal justice and public policy are supplemented with units in policing, corrections, forensics and cyber-policy to ensure that graduates have knowledge and skills they can take into a range of jobs. The course is offered by the Law School and is led by criminal justice experts who are fully engaged in the justice sector, to ensure course relevance. Students undertake a 40-hour placement associated with the criminal justice sector. They will receive intensive training before starting their placement, followed by a debriefing with a clinical education specialist.
