This dual degree combines the practical and theoretical requirements of a professional engineering qualification with the skills to effectively manage a wide range of business and technology environments. Topics covered include accounting, economics, law, marketing, business and strategy. Students will learn about software engineering, design, mathematics, information systems and more. Through the information technology component, students benefit from a flexible, project-focused program, that will set students up for any number of career options working with computers and information, where they can apply their technical skills to solve problems, support innovation and improve communication between people. Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 and 4, C) is recommended for this program. Students without Specialist Mathematics or equivalent may be required to undertake preparatory courses which may not enable the program to be completed in the minimum time frame without overloading or undertaking summer study.
