Students will broaden their horizons and expand their employment prospects by combining studies in Music and Arts. They will develop their creative practice as a musician and gain the theoretical knowledge needed for a successful career performing, composing or researching music. The degree foregrounds practical music-making with individual lessons, a wide variety of ensembles, instrument and voice workshops and masterclasses with internationally acclaimed visiting artists. The Bachelor of Arts gives students key skills employers today are looking for – leadership, creativity, problem solving critical thinking and communication – and offers a wide choice of subject areas in the humanities, arts, social sciences and languages. Students can choose majors that complement their music studies or broaden their knowledge in other fields.
