This course has been designed for existing technicians or tradespeople looking to upskill. Students will learn how to perform computations, analyse a simple electrical system circuit, produce and manage technical documentation, commission a cyber-physical system, troubleshoot digital control systems, and produce components using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technologies. Students will also learn how to use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor and control and industrial process, implement and problem solve a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based industrial control system, and apply principles of networking technologies for manufacturing and engineering applications.
