The Diploma of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art (CAIA) is a pathway program designed to help you transition into the Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art. You’ll develop foundational knowledge and skills in a supportive learning environment alongside your peers in the bachelor’s degree, setting you up for success in your future studies. A key priority of CAIA is cultural leadership and integrity–students will develop a comprehensive understanding of cultural ethics and protocols to navigate their creative practice and the contemporary arts sector. The foundation of your studies will be based on research into your own family history and traditions, developing an understanding of artistic practices, histories, and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art.
