This double degree produces media professionals with the knowledge and understanding to work effectively within local, national and international political contexts either as journalists, political strategists or media advisers. Through a sophisticated understanding of communication, graduates will be equipped to navigate the complexity of the global communication network and its diverse communities and stakeholders. The degree combines specialist training in essential aspects of contemporary media management including producing key messages, news writing, and social media communication, with a deep understanding of public policy making, government, political campaigning and international advocacy. Graduates will be competitive in a range of sectors including government, business and the not-for-profit sectors.
