Course outline

Studying criminology and cyber security equips you with a powerful combination of skills to understand, address, and combat both traditional and emerging forms of crime. You will gain insight into the criminal justice system while also developing the technical expertise needed to tackle cyber crime and digital security threats. Learn how to identify and analyse emerging cyber threats, complete risk and vulnerability assessments, understand the fundamentals of programming and networking and simultaneously gain comprehensive knowledge of crime trends, criminal law, policing, investigation, forensic psychology and the drivers of crime and how it can be prevented. Opportunities to enhance your employability are integrated throughout the program, with practical experience gained through internships, industry placements, and real-world case studies. You will have the chance to work alongside law enforcement, legal professionals, and cyber security experts, building your professional network and gaining hands-on experience in both the criminal justice and cyber security fields.
